Suzie bought this cello after visiting Sotheby's and Bonham's musical instrument salerooms, looking for a traditional cello. She popped across the road to Chappells of Bond Street, and fell in love with the sound of the electric cello.
The amazing thing is that Bach and Vivaldi sound as appropriate as Gershwin, Cole Porter and Nat King Cole. Eva Cassidy songs are perfect on the electric cello as are songs like Lady in Red.
Our very first request for a wedding in Solihull, was Fields of Athenry which I arranged for cello and piano. We loved it so much, we have played it at every booking since then so thank you to the bride who brought it to our attention!
Wendy and Suzie have been playing together for about 4 years now and the response from clients is always very encouraging. We really enjoy the experience of this duo as we are presenting something unusual and eye-catching as well as very beautiful and sometimes haunting, to listen to.
